Starting the Engine: Ensure no one is near the mower. Never run indoors. Pull starter cord firmly. Keep hands, feet, hair, and loose clothing away from moving parts.
Operating the Mower: Clear the lawn of debris. Engage blade control and drive control (if equipped) to move. Adjust speed as needed. Never operate under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Stopping the Engine: Release the blade control to stop the engine and blade. Wait for the blade to stop completely before any work or removing the grass catcher.
Using as Mulcher: Remove grass catcher/side discharge chute. Ensure mulch plug is installed. Do not cut wet or excessively tall grass.
Using Grass Catcher: Attach catcher as per assembly instructions. Operate until bag is full, then stop engine, empty bag, and reattach.

1. Insert key. 2. Charge battery. 3. Check for debris blocking blade operation. Stop engine, remove key, disconnect spark plug boot. Clean debris. Reattach boot and reinsert key. Wait one minute for breaker to reset. |
| Engine runs erratic |
1. Spark plug boot loose. 2. Stale fuel. 3. Vent in gas cap plugged. 4. Water or dirt in fuel system. 5. Dirty air cleaner. 6. Blocked fuel line. |
