Not for use with large diameter cutting bits. Do not remove the end ferrule while the tool is running. Ensure the motor is elevated higher than the working end of the flex-shaft to prevent disengagement. Install the driver cap on the motor shaft and tighten finger tight, then an additional 1/3 turn with the wrench. Attach the flex-shaft by screwing its collar onto the rotary tool, ensuring the square end of the center core engages the square hole socket in the driver cap.Collet and Accessory Assembly: Insert the collet nut and collet (removed from the tool) into the flex-shaft handpiece. Insert an accessory or bit as deeply as possible. Tighten the collet nut while engaging the shaft lock button. Four different size collets are available to accommodate various shank sizes. Identify collets by the rings on their back end.Flexible Shaft Lubrication: Unscrew the flex-shaft from the motor housing. Pull out the center core. Apply a thin film of automotive wheel bearing grease to the center core and reinsert it. Reattach the flex-shaft to the rotary tool.
