The DSN-4000 series storage system is an intelligent, high-performance multiple Gigabit Ethernet storage solution. It is a scalable iSCSI RAID storage system that can be expanded with JBOD arrays for up to 80 drives. Key features include high-performance iSCSI storage, modular expansion, easy setup, in-band or out-of-band management, and high availability with redundant power supplies and cooling fans. The system is managed via the Management Center software. Installation involves site considerations, safety precautions, unpacking, connecting drives and cables, and powering on the system. The document also covers replacing Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) such as drives, power supplies, fan modules, controller modules, and cache battery backup modules, as well as connecting to the diagnostic serial port.
