Refer to the Troubleshooting section for solutions to common issues, such as remote access problems, forgotten passwords, or LED status.
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Remote Access Disabled | Ensure the front LED is solid green, check Internet connection, verify router LAN/WAN connections, enable UPnP on router, ensure router has public IP, upgrade router firmware, reboot router, retry. |
| Forgot Password | Perform a hard reset of the camera using the RESET button. |
| LED Not Lighting Up | Verify the provided DC 5V power supply is used and correctly connected. Check if LED is disabled in settings (see page 37). |
| Unreliable Network Connection | Check network cable, PING a known device. Ensure network devices (hub/switch) are functioning properly. |
| Works Locally, Not Remotely | Check firewall settings, ensure no conflict with other web servers, verify router configuration allows remote access. |
| Vertical White Lines in Image | Reposition camera to a shaded area due to bright light overload. Prolonged exposure may damage the CMOS sensor. |
| Noisy Images | This may occur in very low light environments. |
| Poor Image Quality | Ensure computer display is set to at least 6-bit color. Adjust Network Camera image display settings (brightness, contrast, etc.) via Web Configuration. |
| No Images via Web Browser | Ensure ActiveX is enabled in Internet Options (for Internet Explorer). Upgrade Internet Explorer if version is less than 6. |
