Introduction

The DE-660T/CT+ is a credit-card sized Ethernet adapter for connecting a notebook to an IEEE 802.3 Ethernet network. It is designed to work with notebooks or handheld computers that have PCMCIA slots.

LED Indicators

Power/Activity Indicator (PWR/ACT): Steady green indicates a proper connection and initialization. Flashing green indicates data transmission or reception.

Link Indicator (LINK): Steady green indicates a good network link (valid for UTP).

Card Insertion

  1. Insert the DE-660T/CT+ into the PC Card slot with the label facing up.
  2. Attach the media coupler by inserting its PSL plug into the DE-660T/CT+'s receptacle.
  3. Connect to the network media (Thin Coaxial Cable or UTP Cable).
  4. Confirm connection via the ON/ACT indicator (steady green).

Card Removal

  1. Disconnect the PSL plug by depressing the latch wings.
  2. Eject the DE-660T/CT+ from the computer's PC Card slot.

Driver Installation

Install the network driver before connecting the card to the network. Refer to the HELP.EXE file for detailed instructions.

Diagnostics

Run diagnostic tests (DIAG.EXE) to troubleshoot problems. Two levels of testing are available: Adapter Basic Diagnostics and Network Diagnostics.

Troubleshooting and error codes
