Hardware Installation: Unplug your telephone line and plug the telephone line into the socket on the back of the modem marked LINE.
Driver Installation (Windows 98/ME): When Windows detects the modem, click Cancel. Insert the driver CD and click 'Install Drivers'. After auto-installation, click Close. Then, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel, double-click Modems, and verify the D-Link DFM-562IS HSFI PCI Modem is listed. Click OK.
Driver Installation (Windows 2K): When Windows detects the modem, click Cancel. Insert the driver CD and click 'Install Drivers'. Ignore the 'Digital Signature Not Found' message by clicking Yes. After auto-installation, click Close. Then, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel, double-click Phone and Modem Options, and verify the D-Link DFM-562IS HSFI PCI Modem is listed. Click OK.
Driver Installation (Windows XP): Click 'Install Drivers'. In the 'Software Installation' window, click 'Continue Anyway'. In the 'Found New Hardware Wizard', select 'Install the software automatically (Recommended)' and click Next. If a warning appears, click 'Continue Anyway'. After installation, click Finish. Then click Close. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel, double-click Phone and Modem Options, and verify the D-Link DFM-562IS HSFI PCI Modem is listed. Click OK.
