Getting Started

There are two ways to configure your router:

  • D-Link Setup Wizard: Launches automatically on first login. Follow the on-screen steps to connect to the Internet and set up your wireless network.
  • Manual Setup: Log into the router and manually configure all settings.

Installation

  1. Before you Begin: Gather your DSL service information (username, password, connection type).
  2. Wireless Installation Considerations: Optimize placement for best Wi-Fi range. Avoid walls, thick materials, and RF noise sources.
  3. Manual Setup Steps:
    1. Position the router and connect to the telephone wall jack (for DSL) or existing modem/connection box (for router only).
    2. Connect analog telephones to the Phone 1/2 ports (for VoIP).
    3. Connect the DSL phone cable with microfilter (for modem/router mode) or Ethernet cable (for router mode).
    4. Connect the power adapter and turn on the router.
    5. Connect a computer via Ethernet or Wi-Fi using the label on the device.
  4. Setup Wizard: Access the router's web UI at http://192.168.1.1 to follow the guided setup.
