Problem Solution
Why can't I access the web-based configuration utility?
  • Ensure you are not connected to the Internet.
  • Your computer must be on the same IP subnet as the router (default 10.0.0.2).
  • Use an updated Java-enabled web browser (IE 10+, Edge 20+, Firefox 11+, Chrome 17+, Safari 5+).
  • Verify physical connectivity with solid LAN lights.
  • Disable Internet security software (firewalls).
  • Configure Internet settings by restoring defaults for Security, Connection (Never Dial a Connection), and Advanced tabs. Restart your browser.
  • Access web management by opening your browser and entering the router's IP address.
  • If still unable to access, unplug the router for 10 seconds, plug it back in, wait 30 seconds, and try again. Try a different computer if available.
What can I do if I forgot my password? Reset the router by pressing and holding the reset button for 20-25 seconds. The default IP address is 10.0.0.2, username is 'admin', and password is 'admin'.
Why can't I connect to certain sites or send and receive emails when connecting through my router?
  • Lower the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) in increments of ten (e.g., 1492, 1482, 1472).
  • To find the proper MTU, use the command prompt with the syntax: ping [url] [-f] [-l] [MTU value]. Start with 1472 and adjust.
  • Add 28 to the value that works to account for TCP/IP headers (e.g., 1452 + 28 = 1480).
  • Configure the MTU rate on your router via the web interface (Setup > Manual Configure), enter the MTU number, and save settings.
  • Test your email. If the issue persists, continue adjusting the MTU.
