Troubleshooting and error codes

Installation error code Malfunction Remedial action
E3 The stop valve of an outdoor unit is left closed. Open the stop valve on both the gas and liquid side.
EY The stop valve of an outdoor unit is left closed. Open the stop valve on both the gas and liquid side.
F3 Insufficient refrigerant Check if the additional refrigerant charge has been finished correctly.
F3 Refrigerant overcharge Recalculate the required amount of refrigerant from the piping length and add an adequate amount of refrigerant. Recalculate the required amount of refrigerant from the piping length and correct the refrigerant charge level by recovering any excessive refrigerant with a refrigerant recovery machine.
F6 Refrigerant overcharge Recalculate the required amount of refrigerant from the piping length and correct the refrigerant charge level by recovering any excessive refrigerant with a refrigerant recovery machine.
U2 Insufficient supply voltage Check if the supply voltage is supplied properly.
U3 The check operation is not performed. Perform the check operation.
U4 No power is supplied to the outdoor unit. Check if the power wiring for the outdoor unit is connected correctly.
UR Improper type of indoor units are connected. Check the type of indoor units that are currently connected. If they are not proper, replace them with proper ones.
UF The stop valve of an outdoor unit is left closed. Open the stop valve on both the gas and liquid side.
UF The piping and wiring of the specified indoor unit are connected correctly to the outdoor unit. Confirm that the piping and wiring of the specified indoor unit are connected correctly to the outdoor unit.
UH Incorrect interconnections between units. Connect correctly the interconnections between units to the F1 and F2 (TO IN/D UNIT) terminals on the PC board in the outdoor unit.
UI Power supply cables are connected in the reverse phase instead of the normal phase. Connect the power supply cables in normal phase. Change any two of the three power supply cables (L1, L2, L3) to correct phase.
