The unit has several operation modes: Frozen mode, Chilled mode, and Defrosting mode.

Frozen mode: Compressor ON/OFF control based on return air temperature.

Chilled mode: Capacity control with suction modulating valve and hot-gas bypass control, based on supply air temperature.

Defrosting mode: Hot-gas defrosting with refrigerant metering control.

The unit also supports dehumidification control via a reheat coil, adjustable from 60-95%RH. Mode operation allows for generator setting, automatic pump down, and dehumidification mode setting.
