Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
The entire output is blank. Printer is not receiving data. Check the connection and send data again.
Toner cartridge is empty or not installed. Replace or install the toner cartridge.
Printer is not powered on. Turn on the printer.
Streaks appear on the output. Dirt or toner on the drum or fusing unit. Clean the drum and fusing unit.
Toner cartridge is low. Replace the toner cartridge.
Part or the entire output is black. Incorrect print driver settings. Adjust the print driver settings.
Fusing unit is damaged. Replace the fusing unit.

Vertical blanks. Paper jam or misfeed. Clear any paper jams.
Issues with the imaging system. Contact service.
Ghosting Incorrect printer settings. Adjust print settings.
Toner cartridge is low. Replace the toner cartridge.
Light-induced fatigue Damage to the drum. Replace the drum.
