Troubleshooting and error codes

Partial, scrolling, or incorrectly displayed image If using a Dell laptop, set resolution to WXGA (1280 x 800). Right-click desktop > Properties > Settings tab. Verify 1280 x 800 for external monitor. Press Fn+F8. If issues persist, restart equipment. For non-Dell laptops, consult documentation and upgrade video drivers.
The screen does not display your presentation If using a portable computer, press Fn+F8.
Image color is incorrect Set signal type to RGB in OSD Image Settings of Advanced Settings tab if graphics card sends wrong signal. Use Test Pattern in Projector Settings of Advanced Settings menu to check colors.
Image is out of focus 1. Adjust focus until clear using Focus Adjust in Projector Settings of Advanced Settings menu. 2. Ensure projection screen is within required distance (2.55 ft (0.78 m) ~ 3.67 ft (1.12 m)).
The image is stretched when displaying a 16:9 DVD Projector auto-detects signal format and maintains aspect ratio. If still stretched, adjust aspect ratio in Display Settings of Advanced Settings menu.
Image is reversed Select Projector Settings of Advanced Settings from OSD and adjust projector mode.
TEMP light is solid amber Projector has overheated. Auto-shuts down. Turn on again after cooling. Contact Dell if problem persists.
TEMP light is blinking amber Projector fan failed. Auto-shuts down. Try clearing projector mode by holding Power button for 10 seconds. Wait 5 minutes, try powering on again. Contact Dell if problem persists.
The remote control is not operating smoothly or works only within a limited range Battery level might be low. Replace with new CR2032 battery.
LAN control support
  • Web Control functions verified on IE9, IE10, IE11. Other versions may have compatibility issues.
  • Compatibility View setting should be disabled to avoid abnormal display on web control page.
