Chapter 1. Product Description

Covers the front panel, rear panel, bar code reader, encryption, supported internet protocols, SNMP messaging and traps, maximum storage capacity, data transfer rate, Ultrium tape drives, speed matching, channel calibration, power management, media, library specifications, product environment, and supported device drivers.

Chapter 2. User Interfaces

Explains the Operator Control Panel (OCP) philosophy, Power-ON display, front panel LEDs, input modes, power ON/OFF, and the Web User Interface (WUI), including login, system status, help pages, and logging out.

Chapter 3. Installation Planning

Details determining the number of logical libraries, library sharing, using multiple logical libraries, control paths, path failover, library partitioning, element addressing, logical unit number (LUN) scanning, and host interfaces (SCSI, SAS, Fibre Channel).

Chapter 4. Installation and Configuration
