Starting the Mower

  1. Install battery pack and safety key.
  2. Close battery port cover.
  3. Pull and hold the bail handle to the main handle to power on the LED dashboard.
  4. Press the power button to start the blades.
  5. Release the bail handle to turn OFF the mower.

Operation Tips

  • Inspect area for debris.
  • Mow across slopes, not up and down.
  • Avoid mowing wet grass.
  • Set to highest cutting height for rough ground.
  • Do not overload the motor.

Maintenance

  • Keep blades sharp and balanced.
  • Clean the mower after each use.
  • Remove safety key and battery pack when unattended.

Troubleshooting and error codes

PROBLEM SOLUTION
Mower does not operate when bail handle is activated Verify that the safety key is installed and fully seated and the power button has been pressed. Release the bail handle. Turn OFF the mower. Remove the safety key and battery packs. Turn the mower over and verify that the blades turn freely.
The blade motor stops while cutting Verify that the battery port is clear of debris and is properly connected. Were the batteries fully charged? Press the battery status button.
The single touch handle 1 will not lock in the storage position If the handle folding indicator 15 is illuminated, consult the Raise the Single Touch Handle section in this manual.
Self-propel motor stops while working Turn OFF the self-propel function. Clean the self-propel motor housing of debris. Check that the wheels turn freely.
Mower runs, but cutting performance is unsatisfactory, or it doesn't cut all the grass Were the batteries fully charged? Press the battery status button. Release the bail handle to turn OFF the mower. Remove the safety key and battery packs. Turn the mower over and check: Blade sharpness: keep blades sharp. Discharge cover and platform for obstruction. Wheel height adjustment may be too low for the grass condition. Raise the cut height. The blade sharpening indicator 16 will illuminate when the blades need service. Sharpen or replace the blades, refer to the Blade Sharpening section in this manual.
Mower is very difficult to push Release the bail handle to turn OFF the mower. Remove the safety key and battery packs. Raise the cut height to reduce deck resistance in the grass. Verify that each wheel has free rotation.
Mower is abnormally noisy and vibrates If the overheat indicator 13 is illuminated, allow the battery and mower to cool down. When cooled, restart the mower and resume cutting with the mower deck set higher.
Mower does not collect clippings with the bag Obstructed chute. Release the bail handle to turn OFF the mower. Remove the safety key and battery packs. Clear the grass clippings chute. Raise the wheel cutting height to shorten the cutting length. Bag is full. Empty the bag more often.
