Setting Up Your Doro 8031

  • Unbox: Carefully unbox and identify all included items. Read the manual to familiarize yourself with the phone and its functions.
  • Insert SIM & Battery: Turn off the phone, remove the battery cover (be careful not to damage fingernails), insert the micro SIM card, and then insert the battery.
  • Charge: Charge your phone fully before first use. Use only approved chargers. Connect the USB cable to the phone and a power source (wall adapter or computer USB port).
  • Turn On: Press and hold the Power button until the phone vibrates and the display lights up. Enter your SIM card PIN if prompted.

Getting to Know Your Phone

  • Google Account: Sign in with your Google account to access Google services.
  • Assistive Functions: Use symbols to guide you through sections on Seeing, Hearing, Handling, and Safety.
  • Touchscreen Gestures: Learn to tap, double-tap, long press, swipe, and pinch/spread to navigate and interact with the phone.
  • Phone Keys: Understand the function of the Recents key, Home key, and Back key.
  • Screen Lock: Set up a PIN, password, or pattern to secure your phone.

Troubleshooting and error codes

No signal Not registered to a network. Check that you are within network coverage. Move to a location with better reception. Turn the phone off and on again.
Cannot make or receive calls Subscription problem. Contact your service provider.
Battery does not charge The charger is not connected correctly. Ensure the charger is connected properly to the phone and the power outlet. Try a different power outlet.
Unclear sound during calls The microphone or earpiece is blocked. Clean the microphone and earpiece gently with a soft, dry cloth. Ensure the phone is held correctly during calls.
Phone unresponsive Software issue or low battery. Restart the phone by pressing and holding the Power button. If the phone is not charging, charge it fully.
