Warranty Information

Warranty information is not specified in this manual.

Introduction

To ensure satisfactory and economical operation, it is essential that the refrigerator is installed as directed and used in accordance with these instructions. Ventilation openings must not be reduced in size or obstructed.

Level

To ensure proper refrigerant flow, the unit must be level in both directions. If the caravan is stationary for more than half an hour, it must be leveled.

Gas Pressure, Burner, Jet, and Gas Control Valve

Ensure the gas equipment is correct for the gas and gas pressure used. A reliable pressure regulator is essential.

Starting the Refrigerator

Wash interior and accessories. Use the Piezo igniter for lighting the gas burner. Check alternative operation methods are off. Ensure the refrigerator is level when stationary.

Bottled Gas Operation - Lighting the burner

Set voltage selector to '0'. Turn gas control knob to '3'. Push knob in for 5 seconds, then push igniter button multiple times while still pressing knob for another 15 seconds. Release knob and check flame.

Electric Operation

For 12V operation, the engine must be running. For mains voltage (220-240V), ensure proper earthing. The 12V circuit is not thermostatically controlled.

Temperature Regulation

For mains voltage, use thermostat knob (6) set to 3 or 4. For gas, start with knob (5) at 'T'. Adjust as needed. 12V operation is not thermostatically controlled.

Frozen Food Storage Compartment

Maintained at -12°C (10°F) or below. Suitable for storing most frozen foods for up to one month. Do not attempt quick freezing. Do not store carbonated drinks.

Storing Food in the Refrigerator

Store food in covered containers, plastic bags, or wrapped. Do not leave the door open longer than necessary. Never put hot food in the refrigerator.

Travel Catch

Securely closes the door when the vehicle is moving. Ensure it is fully engaged.

Ice-Making

Fill ice-tray to within 5mm. Ice is made faster with the highest cooling setting. Return knob to normal setting after ice has formed.

Defrosting

Defrost regularly (about once a week or ten days). Turn controls to '0' (off). Remove ice-tray, food, etc. Use hot water to speed up defrosting. Do not use electric heaters. Dry thoroughly.

Cleaning the Refrigerator

Clean thoroughly at intervals. Turn off gas or electricity, empty, and defrost. Use a weak bicarbonate of soda solution. Never use strong chemicals or abrasive materials.

When Not in Use

Turn off gas or electricity. Empty, defrost, clean, and dry thoroughly. Leave door open to prevent stale odors.

Consumption

Figures for electricity and gas consumption are provided in a table based on room temperature and gas control setting.

Maintenance

Checking for Gas Leaks

Periodically check connections for leaks using a soap/water solution. Do not use a flame. Ensure screw connections are tight.

Flue Baffle

Ensure the flue baffle is correctly positioned for proper operation on bottled gas.

Cleaning Flue, Burner, and Jet

Check burner flame color (predominantly blue). Clean flue, burner, and jet if necessary using specific brushes and cleaning agents. Do not prick the jet.

Igniter Spark Gap

The distance between the igniter tip and burner head gauze should be a minimum of 3mm.

Heaters for Electric Operation

Two heaters are fitted for electric operation: one for 12V (black leads) and one for 220-240V (brown leads).
