Warranty Information
Electrolux provides a limited warranty covering parts and labor for one year, and the sealed system for five years.
Turning On/Off: Plug in the unit, press the "On/Off" button. To turn off, press "On/Off" again.
Cooling/Heating: Press "COOL" for air conditioning or "HEAT" for heating. Adjust temperature using the "TEMP/TIME" buttons.
Fan Speeds: Press "FAN SPEED" to select High, Medium, Low, or Auto Fan.
Power Saver: Press "MODE" and select "POWER SAVER" for energy efficiency.
Timer: Use the "TIMER" button to set a delay start or stop time.
Sleep Mode: Press "SLEEP" for a gradual temperature adjustment overnight.
Clean Filter: The unit will indicate when the filter needs cleaning. Press "Clean Filter" to reset after cleaning.

Troubleshooting and error codes

| Air conditioner will not operate. | Wall plug disconnected. Push plug firmly into wall outlet. House fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped. Replace fuse with time delay type or reset circuit breaker. Control is OFF. Turn Control ON and set to desired FAN or COOL setting. Unit turned off and then on too quickly, wait 3 minutes before compressor will automatically restart. |
| Air from unit does not feel cold enough. | Thermostat set too HI. Adjust thermostat to lower number for cooling. Room temperature below 60°F (16°C). Cooling may not occur until room temperature rises above 60°F (16°C). Temperature sensor touching cold coil, located behind air filter. Reset to a Lower temperature. |
| Air conditioner cooling, but room is too warm -- ice forming on cooling coil behind decorative front. | Compressor shut-off by changing modes. Wait approximately 3 minutes, and listen for compressor to restart when set in the COOL modes. |
| Air conditioner cooling, but room is too warm -- NO ice forming on cooling coil behind decorative front. | Outdoor temperature below 60°F (16°C). To defrost the coil, set selector to FAN ONLY Mode. Air filter may be dirty. Clean filter. Refer to Care and Cleaning section. To defrost, set selector to FAN ONLY Mode. Temperature is set too Low for night-time cooling. To defrost the coil, set to FAN ONLY Mode. Then, set Temperature to a Higher number. |
| Air conditioner turns on and off rapidly. | Dirty air filter -- air restricted. Clean air filter. Refer to Care and Cleaning section. Temperature is set too High. Set temperature to a Lower number. Air directional louvers positioned improperly. Position louvers for better air distribution. Front of unit is blocked by drapes, blinds, furniture, etc. restricts air distribution. Clear blockage in front of unit. Doors, windows, registers, etc. open -- cold air escapes. Close doors, windows, registers, etc. Unit recently turned on in hot room. Allow additional time to remove "stored heat" from walls, ceiling, floor and furniture. |
| Noise when unit is cooling. | Dirty air filter -- air restricted. Clean air filter. Outside temperature extremely hot. Set FAN speed to a faster setting to bring air past cooling coils more frequently. Air movement sound. This is normal. If too loud, set to a slower FAN setting. Sound of fan hitting water-moisture removal system. This is normal when humidity is high. Close doors, windows and registers. Window vibration -- poor installation. Refer to installation instructions or check with installer. |
