Warranty Information

One year limited warranty for parts and labor, with additional 2-5 year limited warranty for glass cooktop or radiant surface element.

Main Cooktop Controls:

  • POWER Pad: Touch and hold for 2 seconds to turn the cooktop on. Touch to turn off.
  • Controls Lock Pad: Touch and hold for 3 seconds to lock/unlock controls.
  • Keep Warm Pad: Touch to activate the Keep Warm setting for an element after it has been turned on.
  • Minute Timer: Use '+' and '-' pads to set time from 1-99 minutes. Touch both to cancel.

Radiant Element Controls:

  • Element ON/OFF Pad: Touch to turn individual elements on/off.
  • Power Level Settings: Use '+' (hi) and '-' (lo) pads to adjust power from 1 to 15.
  • Hot Surface Message ('H'): Indicates the cooktop is still hot.
  • Sabbath Feature: Touch '-' and 'lock' pads simultaneously to activate/deactivate.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
Entire cooktop does not operate
  • Cooktop controls are locked. Unlock the Cooktop.
  • Ensure household electrical circuit breaker is ON and power is supplied.
  • Check for complete service wiring (contact dealer).
  • Check for power outage (check house lights).
Surface element display windows showing error codes
  • Error code displays in the zone with the error (C, X, X). 'H' may also display if the zone is hot.
  • Try turning electrical power OFF and ON to reset. Ensure nothing is touching the control panel. Record fault number and call Electrolux service if error persists.
Cooktop turns off while cooking
  • Clean spills or remove objects from the control area. Repower cooktop.
Surface element does not heat food
  • Check/reset breaker or replace fuse. Address circuit overload or improper cable connection with a qualified electrician.
Surface element heats food too hot or not hot enough
  • Check heat setting; turn to a slightly higher setting.
  • Ensure the correct control is used for the element.
  • Use good quality, flat-bottomed, evenly balanced cookware (medium to heavyweight). Lightweight or warped pans can cause uneven heating and burning.
  • Ensure appliance is properly connected to the specified power source.
  • Adjust power level setting for proper heat.
