Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Entire Cooktop Does Not Operate Cooktop controls are locked. Unlock the cooktop controls.
Service wiring not complete. Contact installation agent or dealer.
Power outage. Check house lights. Call local electric company.
Cooktop Turns Off While Cooking Cooktop internal heat sensor detected high temperatures. Ensure appliance vent holes are not blocked.
Fluids spilled or object lying on controls area. Clean spills or remove object. Repower cooktop.
Cooking zone used with dry pot at high power. Wait for the cooking zone to cool down.
Cooking Zone Does Not Heat Food No cookware or incorrect cookware material. Use magnetic cookware of the correct type.
Cookware bottom not large enough for Zone. Use cookware that meets minimum size requirements.
Cookware warped or in poor condition. Use flat-bottomed, evenly balanced cookware.
Cookware not centered on Cooking Zone. Center the cookware properly on the zone.
Cookware resting on trim or not fully on surface. Ensure cookware rests completely on the cooktop surface.
No power to the appliance. Check "Entire Cooktop Does Not Operate" steps.
Incorrect Cooking Zone control setting. Ensure correct controls are ON; check if cooktop is locked.
Cooking Zone Heats Food Too Hot or Not Hot Enough Incorrect power level setting. Adjust power level setting higher or lower per recipe.
Food Does Not Heat Evenly Lightweight or warped pans used. Use good quality, flat-bottomed, evenly balanced cookware.
