This manual provides detailed programming and troubleshooting information for the Electrolux Selecta II dryers. It covers safety precautions, description of components, operating panel functions, versions, connector details, and switching to programming mode. The programming section details various groups for setting dryer parameters, including temperature, drying time, error logs, and user display information. Troubleshooting covers specific error codes such as input/output sensor disconnections, network errors, and condensate container issues.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Error Code Description Error Analysis
E 17 The input sensor has disconnected 1. Defective PT100 sensor/harness? Measure the resistance on the PT100 sensor between P18-4 and P18-3 on PCB. Is the resistance 110 kΩ at 20°C (68°F)? YES: Go to step 2. NO: Replace PT100 sensor or harness. 2. Defective PT100 interface on PCB. YES: Replace the PCB. Alternative: Measure voltage between GND and T2.
E 18 The output sensor has disconnected 1. Defective NTC sensor/harness? Measure the resistance on the NTC sensor between P18-5 and P18-6 on PCB. Is the resistance between 4kΩ and 6kΩ at 20°C (68°F)? YES: Go to step 2. NO: Replace NTC sensor or harness. 2. Defective circuit board? Replace the circuit board. Alternative: Measure voltage between GND and T1.
E 20 Machine is out of operation This error is displayed if the dryer is put out of order in the CMIS program. Error analysis: See separate manual.
E 21 Network error, no polling CMIS 1. Has CMIS been started on the PC? YES: Go to step 2. NO: Start the CMIS program on the PC which is connected to the ELS Network. 2. Has the ELS Network been connected correctly. YES: Go to step 3. NO: Mount the ELS Network cables correctly. 3. Has the ELS Network been set up correctly reg. Baud rate, addresses and time out. An address cannot be used twice. YES: Make an error diagnosis in the CMIS system. NO: Adjust menus 5-6-1, 5-6-2, 5-6-3.
E 22 Network error, no polling CBT 1. Has LM10 been started? YES: Go to step 2. NO: Start the LM10 which is connected to the ELS Network. 2. Has the ELS Network been connected correctly. YES: Go to step 3. NO: Mount the ELS Network cables correctly. 3. Has the ELS Network been set up correctly reg. Baud rate, addresses and time out. An address cannot be used twice. YES: Make an error diagnosis in the LM10 system. NO: Mount the ELS Network cables correctly.
E 24 Condensate container is full 1. Turn the machine on and off. Is water coming out of the hose? YES: The pump is working but the drain might be partly blocked. NO: Go to step 2. 2. Is the pump running after the machine has been turned on and off? YES: The drain is blocked! NO: Go to step 3. 3. Check in the service menu that the correct TYPE OF HEATING has been selected (MENU 5-1-2). YES: Select the correct type of heating. NO: Go to step 4. 4. Does the small 24 V circuit board relay (487027951) switch on after the machine has been turned on and off. YES: Check wire and Selecta Control. NO: Change it.
E 25 Damper output air is not closed correct Damper output air not closed. (Applies only to Clean Room tumble dryers).
E 26 Damper output air is not open correct Damper output air not open. (Applies only to Clean Room tumble dryers).
E 27 Hepa filter pressure warning High pressure in Hepa filter. (Applies only to Clean Room tumble dryers). Replace filter.
E 28 Input temperature oscillating Internal temperature fluctuating. Warning: the heat has been on/off an unusual amount due to the intake air temperature having been too high. Check the air flow through the machine. Only applies to Clean Room dryers: Check that the prefilter and filter in the machine are not clogged. Replace or clean the filter.
