Starting the Engine: Ensure the machine is set up correctly. For engines with a choke, position the accelerator lever to START when cold. For engines with a primer system, press the pump 3-4 times and set the accelerator to MAX. Hold the engine stop lever and pull the starter rope gently until resistance is felt, then pull firmly. For electric start, insert the plug, hold the engine stop lever, and turn the ignition key. The blade starts turning as soon as the engine is started. Mowing: Keep the engine stop lever depressed during operation. To cut grass, push the lawn mower manually or engage the automatic advance gear by lifting and holding the clutch handle. Engage gear only when the engine is running. Release the clutch handle to disengage.
