I. Training
- Read and understand instructions.
- Never allow children or unfamiliar persons to use the mower.
- Do not mow near people, children, or pets.
- Operator is responsible for accidents.
- Do not carry passengers.
- Seek professional instruction.
II. Preparation
- Wear appropriate footwear and clothing.
- Inspect the area and remove objects.
- Refuel outdoors, do not smoke, and do not refuel when hot.
- Replace fuel caps securely.
- Inspect blades for wear or damage and replace if necessary.
III. Operation
- Do not operate in confined spaces.
- Mow in daylight or good artificial light.
- Disengage blade attachment clutches and shift to neutral before starting.
- Do not use on slopes over 10°.
- Exercise extreme care on slopes.
- Use caution with heavy loads.
- Do not turn sharply. Use care when reversing.
- Watch for traffic.
- Stop blades before crossing surfaces other than grass.
- Never direct discharge toward bystanders.
- Never operate with defective guards or safety devices.
- Do not overspeed the engine.
- Before leaving operator's position: disengage PTO, lower attachments, shift to neutral, set parking brake, stop engine, remove key.
- Disconnect spark plug wire or remove ignition key before cleaning, checking, or working on the mower, or after striking an object.
- Disengage drive to attachments when transporting or not in use.
