Safety Rules:

  • Familiarize yourself with operating instructions.
  • No one under 16 or under the influence of alcohol/medications can operate.
  • Avoid operating in closed environments due to CO fumes.
  • Ensure no persons or pets are in the vicinity.
  • Remove foreign objects from lawn to prevent projectile danger.
  • No smoking during operation.
  • Mow only during daylight or good lighting.
  • Mow up or down slopes, never at an angle.
  • Ensure cutting deck is not engaged when driving to mowing area.
  • Do not use if bodywork is damaged or without protective equipment.
  • Engine block position must not be altered.
  • Do not tilt unit.
  • Safety device switches off engine when operator leaves seat.
  • Keep hands/feet away from blades and discharge opening.
  • Do not move/lift machine with engine running.
  • Always turn off engine and disconnect spark plug for maintenance.
  • Remove start key when leaving tractor unattended.
  • Engine must be off for transportation, refueling, or emptying grass bag.

Operation:

  • Cutting Height Adjustment: Engine off, blades stopped. Push lever outwards, select notch, release lever.
  • Emptying Grass Collection Bag: Empty before overflowing. Red light indicates full bin. Disengage, switch off engine, lift and shake bag, return bag, resume operation.
  • Safety Precautions: Remove foreign objects before mowing. Stay alert for missed objects. Never place hands/feet under deck or into discharge chute while engine is running.
  • Putting into Operation: Complete assembly, fill fuel and oil tanks. First start-up by informed persons. Use lead-free petrol (min. 92 octane) and SAE 30 oil.
  • Starting Engine: Start only after filling tanks. Follow engine manufacturer's manual.
  • Refuelling: In open area only, never when hot or running. Do not smoke. Left rear tank plug.
  • Topping Up Oil: Use SAE 30 oil. Lift seat, remove cover, unscrew cap, fill to MAX, replace cap.

Starting Up (Engine Start): Check levels, no smoking during refuelling. Follow "Initial Starting Up" instructions. Never change gear while driving. Never mow in reverse.

  • Engine Start (Electric/Pull): Flat ground, short grass. Electric: Sit, blade clutch STOP, brake engaged, insert key, turn right, release. Wait if not started within 5s. Pull: Brake parking, blade disengaged, throttle START, grab rope, pull.
  • Engine Speed Adjustment: Set lever between indicated points.
  • Switching Off Engine: Electric: Turn key to STOP. Pull: Push throttle lever forward to STOP. Always remove ignition key.
  • Moving Without Power: Engine off, gear in neutral, apply parking brake.
  • Driving: No persons/animals nearby. Select speed, drive carefully. No passenger transport. Use 1st gear on slopes.
  • Braking: Press brake pedal. Lock by moving lever to parking position.
  • Operating Cutting Deck: System enabled if engine on, lever (7) at full throttle, grass bag installed. Engage brake, set lever (10) to START. Blade rotates. Start cutting in forward gear after releasing brake. Engine switches off if user stands up.
  • Switching Off Mower Gear: Release blade enabling lever. Blade stops in ~5s.

Maintenance:

  • Perform only when engine is stopped and cooled. User can do basic tasks. Others by authorized dealer.
  • Oil Change: Remove access case, remove cap, suck out oil. Dispose properly.
  • Oil Level Check: Use dip stick. Level between MAX and MIN.
  • Air Filter & Spark Plug: Follow engine manufacturer's instructions.
  • Blade Replacement: Use original spares. Disconnect spark plug. Wear gloves. Dealer service recommended. Torque 55 Nm.
  • Battery: Remove during storage. Charge 2-3 hrs initially, or 24 hrs if low. Don't crank >5s. Recharge in dry room. Protect contacts.
  • Mower Cleaning: Shut off engine, cool down. Use cloths/brushes, no water hose. Clean under bodywork.
  • Further Maintenance: Wear gloves for blade handling. Check grass collection device. Keep engine/exhaust free of debris. Replace worn/damaged parts.
  • Storage: Never store where petrol vapors could reach flames. Allow to cool before storing.

Troubleshooting and error codes

FAULT POSSIBLE CAUSES CORRECTION
Engine does not start No petrol Fill the petrol tank with unleaded petrol.
Poor contaminated petrol Always use clean, fresh petrol. Only use unleaded petrol.
Engine does not start Dirty engine air filter Clean the engine air filter according to engine manufacturer's guidelines and instruction manual.
No spark Clean the spark plug and replace if necessary, according to engine manufacturer's instruction manual.
Difficulty in starting, flooded engine. Unscrew the plug and dry it. Follow engine manufacturer's guidelines and instruction in manual. Let the unit sit for a few minutes.
Flat battery Recharge.
Starter cord incorrectly connected Check the connection.
Engine stalls Intervention of safety devices Check the correct operation of the devices (see point L)
Grass too high or damp. Raise the cutting height to maximum height. Slow ground speed, or wait for grass to dry.
Mower casing blocked Clean the casing (Important: before cleaning extract the spark plug lead)
Dirty air filter Clean air filter (see engine instructions also).
Carburetor calibration incorrect Take unit to Authorized Service Dealer for Assistance.
Poor cut Blunt blade Take unit to Authorized Service Dealer to replace the blade.
Blade badly worn Take unit to Authorized Service Dealer to replace the blade.
Incorrect cutting height Take unit to Authorized Service Dealer to replace the blade.
Grass bag fails to fill Grass too heavy or too damp to be conveyed by the air stream Wait until the lawn surface has dried off.
Blade badly worn, blunt Replace the blade.
Grass is too high causing poor collection. Cut the lawn twice, altering the cutting height accordingly.
Casing blocked with previous grass cutting Clean the casing (do not use water) NB: remember to remove the spark plug connector.
The unit does not drive Drive belt detached See belt routing diagram page 106
Defective transmission Seek assistance from Authorized Service Dealer.
