I. TRAINING

  • Read and understand the instructions.
  • Never allow children or unfamiliar people to use the mower.
  • Never mow near people, children, or pets.
  • The operator is responsible for accidents.
  • Do not carry passengers.
  • Seek professional instruction emphasizing care, concentration, and control on slopes.

II. PREPARATION

  • Inspect and remove debris to reduce fire risk.
  • Wear sturdy footwear and long trousers; no bare feet or open sandals.
  • Inspect the area and remove objects that could be thrown.
  • WARNING: Petrol is flammable. Refuel outdoors, do not smoke, add fuel before starting the engine, and never refuel a hot engine.
  • Spilled petrol requires moving the machine away from the area and avoiding ignition sources.
  • Replace fuel tank caps securely.
  • Replace faulty silencers.
  • Visually inspect blades and bolts for wear or damage, replace in sets.

III. OPERATION

  • Do not operate in confined spaces.
  • Mow only in daylight or good artificial light.
  • Disengage blade clutches and shift to neutral before starting.
  • Do not use on slopes over 5°.
  • Be extra careful on grass slopes to avoid overturning (no sudden stops/starts, engage clutch slowly, keep machine in gear downhill, maintain low speeds on slopes/turns, watch for hazards, never mow across slopes unless designed for it).
  • Use care when pulling loads or using heavy equipment.
  • Use only approved drawbar hitch points.
  • Limit loads to what you can control.
  • Do not turn sharply. Be careful when reversing.
  • Use counterweights or wheel weights if suggested.
  • Watch out for traffic near roadways.
  • Stop blades before crossing non-grass surfaces.
  • Never direct discharge toward bystanders.
  • Never operate with defective guards or without safety devices.
  • Do not change engine governor settings or overspeed.
  • Before leaving operator's position: disengage PTO, lower attachments, shift to neutral, set parking brake, stop engine, remove key.
  • Disconnect spark plug wire before cleaning, checking, repairing, or after striking an object.
  • Disengage drive to attachments when transporting or not in use.
  • Stop engine and disengage drive before refueling.

IV. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

  • Keep nuts, bolts, and screws tight.
  • Never store with fuel in a building where fumes could ignite.
  • Allow engine to cool before storing.
  • Keep engine, silencer, etc., free of grass, leaves, or grease to reduce fire hazard.
  • Check grass catcher for wear.
  • Replace worn or damaged parts.
  • Drain fuel tank outdoors if necessary.
  • Be aware that rotating one blade can cause others to rotate on multi-bladed machines.
  • Lower cutting means when parking, storing, or leaving unattended unless a positive mechanical lock is used.
  • WARNING: Always disconnect spark plug wire before setup, transport, adjustment, or repairs to prevent accidental starting.
