Safety Rules

  • Read instructions carefully and familiarize yourself with controls.
  • Never allow children or unfamiliar persons to operate.
  • Never mow near people, children, or pets.
  • Operator is responsible for accidents.
  • Do not carry passengers.
  • Seek professional instruction emphasizing care, concentration, and control on slopes.
  • Wear sturdy footwear and long trousers; no barefoot or open sandals.
  • Inspect and clear the area of thrown objects.
  • Handle petrol with care (flammable). Refuel outdoors, no smoking.
  • Add fuel before starting the engine. Never refuel a hot or running engine.
  • If petrol is spilled, move machine away and avoid ignition sources until vapors dissipate.
  • Secure fuel tank caps. Replace faulty silencers.
  • Inspect blades and bolts for wear/damage. Replace in sets.
  • Be careful with multi-bladed machines; one rotating blade can cause others to rotate.
  • Do not operate in confined spaces (carbon monoxide).
  • Mow in daylight or good light.
  • Disengage blade clutches and shift to neutral before starting.
  • Do not use on slopes over 10°.
  • Be cautious on slopes: avoid sudden stops/starts, engage clutch slowly, keep machine in gear downhill, maintain low speeds, watch for hazards, do not mow across slopes.
  • Use care when pulling loads or using heavy equipment.
  • Use approved hitch points. Limit loads.
  • Do not turn sharply. Be careful reversing.
  • Use counterweights/wheel weights if suggested.
  • Watch for traffic near roadways.
  • Stop blades before crossing non-grass surfaces.
  • With attachments, never direct discharge toward bystanders.
  • Never operate with defective guards or safety devices.
  • Do not change governor settings or overspeed the engine.
  • Before leaving operator's position: disengage PTO, lower attachments, shift to neutral, set parking brake, stop engine, remove key.
  • Disengage drive to attachments, stop engine, disconnect spark plug wire(s) or remove key: before clearing blockages, before checking/cleaning/repairing, after striking an object, if machine vibrates abnormally.
  • Disengage drive to attachments when transporting or not in use.
  • Stop engine and disengage drive to attachment before refueling, removing grass catcher, or making height adjustment (unless from operator's position).
  • Reduce throttle during engine run-out. Turn fuel off if equipped with shut-off valve.

Maintenance and Storage

  • Keep nuts, bolts, and screws tight.
  • Never store with petrol in tank inside a building.
  • Allow engine to cool before storing in an enclosure.
  • Keep engine, silencer, battery compartment, and petrol storage area free of grass, leaves, grease.
  • Check grass catcher for wear/deterioration.
  • Replace worn/damaged parts for safety.
  • Drain fuel tank outdoors.
  • Be careful with multi-bladed machines.
  • When parked/stored, lower cutting means unless a positive mechanical lock is used.
  • WARNING: Always disconnect spark plug wire before setup, transport, adjustment, or repairs.

Troubleshooting and error codes

GB DE
Engine will not start
1. No fuel in fuel tank.
2. Plug defective.
3. Plug connection defective.
4. Dirt in carburetor or fuel pipe.
Motor springt nicht an
1. Kraftstoff fehlt im Kraftstofftank.
2. Defekte Zündkerze.
3. Defekter Zündkerzenanschluß.

Start motor will not turn engine
1. Battery flat.
2. Poor contact between cable and battery pole.
3. Connection/disconnection level in wrong position.
4. Main fuse defective.
5. Ignition lock defective.
6. Safety contact for clutch/brake pedal defective.
7. Clutch/brake pedal not pushed down.
Anlasser dreht den Motor nicht durch
1. Batterie entladen.
