Oven Operation Summary

  • Setting the Clock: Press 'clock', then use arrow keys to set time.
  • Baking: Press 'bake', set temperature with arrow keys, then press 'bake' again and set time.
  • Broiling: Press 'broil', set level with arrow keys. Arrange racks and preheat.
  • Self-Cleaning: Remove items, press 'clean', select duration (2 or 3 hours), and start. The door locks automatically.
  • Surface Elements: Push knob and turn to desired setting. Turn OFF before removing cookware.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
Poor baking results.
  • Ensure proper oven rack position, center food, and space pans for air circulation.
  • Allow oven to preheat.
  • Adjust recipe temperature or baking time.
  • See "Adjusting Oven Temperature" section if oven is too hot or cool.
Appliance is not level.
  • Ensure floor is level, strong, and stable.
  • Check installation and adjust leveling legs.
  • Ensure cabinets are square and have clearance.
Cannot move appliance easily. Appliance must be accessible for service.
  • Contact builder/installer if cabinets are not square or too tight.
  • Ensure carpet does not interfere with access.
Surface element too hot or not hot enough.
  • Check control setting.
Surface element does not heat.
  • Use flat, evenly balanced cookware.
  • Cookware material and weight affect heating.
Entire appliance does not operate.
  • Set the time of day.
  • Ensure cord/plug is connected.
  • Check for electrical power outage.
  • Contact dealer or authorized service agent if wiring is incomplete.
Oven portion of appliance does not operate.
  • Ensure oven controls are set properly for the desired cooking feature.
Self-clean cycle does not work.
  • Check Self-Clean instructions.
  • Ensure cycle was not interrupted.
Soil not completely removed after self-cleaning cycle.
  • Clean areas not in self-cleaning zone (bottom, front top, frame, door area outside seal) before starting.
  • Use a stiff nylon brush and water or a nylon scrubber.
Oven smokes excessively during broiling.
  • Check broiling instructions and settings.
  • Open door to broil stop position.
  • Ensure proper meat preparation (remove excess fat).
  • Check broiler pan and insert orientation.
  • Clean grease buildup from oven surfaces.
Flames inside oven or smoking from oven vent.
  • Wipe up excessive spillovers before starting oven.
  • See "Broiling" section for flame/smoke issues.
Oven control panel beeps & displays any F code error (for example F30).
  • Press 'clear off' to clear display.
  • Try bake or broil feature again.
  • If error repeats, remove power for 5 minutes, then repower and set clock.
  • If fault recurs, record fault and call for service.
Drip bowls are pitting or rusting (coil cooktop models only).
  • Avoid foods with acids (tomatoes). Wash bowls promptly after spills.
  • Normal environment (sea coasts) may cause corrosion.
Drip bowls are turning color or distorted (coil cooktop models only).
  • Ensure cookware size matches element size and bottom is flat.
  • Do not use cookware that extends beyond the element.
