Surface Cooking:

  • Use flat-bottomed cookware that matches the element size.
  • Turn utensil handles inward.
  • Never leave the cooktop unattended on high heat.
  • Be aware that even when off, the ceramic surface can remain hot.

Oven Cooking:

  • Ensure oven racks are properly placed for air circulation.
  • Remove all items before self-cleaning.
  • Follow instructions for setting clock, temperature, and cooking modes (Bake, Broil, Convection, etc.).
  • Use caution when opening the oven door after cooking or self-cleaning.

Care & Cleaning:

  • Clean surfaces with mild soap and water.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners on most surfaces.
  • Follow specific instructions for the ceramic cooktop and oven interior, especially regarding self-cleaning.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
Appliance is not level Be sure floor is level, strong & stable enough to adequately support range. If floor is sagging or sloping, contact a carpenter. Adjust leveling legs. Ensure cabinets are square and have sufficient room.
Cannot move appliance easily. Appliance must be accessible for service Cabinets not square or built in too tightly. Carpet interferes with appliance. Provide sufficient space.
Surface element too hot or not hot enough Incorrect control setting. Ensure the correct control is ON for the element.
Surface element does not heat Lightweight or warped pans. Use flat, evenly balanced cookware. Cookware materials and weight affect heating.
Entire appliance does not operate Time of day is not set. Ensure cord/plug is correctly plugged in. Check for electrical power outage. Ensure oven controls are set properly.
Oven does not operate Ensure oven controls are set properly for the desired cooking feature.
Oven light does not work Replace or tighten bulb.
Oven smokes excessively during broiling Control not set properly. Ensure door is at broil stop position. Meat too close to broil element. Meat not properly prepared. Ensure broiler pan is right side up. Grease buildup. Excessive spillovers.
Flames inside oven or smoking from oven vent Excessive spillovers in oven. Wipe up before starting oven.
Oven control panel beeps & displays any F code error (for example F10) Control detected a fault. Press CANCEL, try feature again. If it repeats, remove power, wait 5 mins, repower, set clock, try again. If recurs, record fault and call service.
