Operation

The appliance features a single thermostat for regulating temperature in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments, with positions from 1 (minimum coldness) to 6 (maximum coldness), and an 'OFF' (O) position. Intermediate positions (3-4) are usually most suitable. Factors like room temperature, door opening frequency, food quantity, and appliance location can affect the internal temperature. A low room temperature switch is available for efficient operation below 16°C. The four-star freezer compartment is designed for storing commercially frozen food and freezing fresh foods. For freezing fresh food, depress the ambient switch 12 hours beforehand. Food to be frozen should be placed in the upper drawer. For best results in the refrigerator, avoid storing warm food or liquids, and cover food appropriately. Proper food storage involves dating and labelling items, and avoiding frequent door openings. Energy-saving tips include proper placement away from heat sources and ensuring airtight packaging to prevent frosting.
