Basic Operation
Plug the cord into a 120 V. A.C. outlet. Ensure the unit switch is in the OFF position. The control switch has three positions: OFF(0), FLOOR(I), and CARPET(II). Always set the switch to OFF(0) when the cleaner is not in use. Use FLOOR(I) to stop the rotating brush for hard floors and above-the-floor cleaning. Use CARPET(II) for deep cleaning rugs and carpets. The cleaner locks upright; to release the handle, lightly press the base with your foot and pull the handle backward. If the brush doesn't rotate, press the RESET button. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord. The upright position is for carrying or storing.
