Introduction

Your Epson Endeavor computer is a high-performance system. It features a 486SX/25, 486DX/33, or 486DX2/50 microprocessor, expandable memory up to 32MB, system and video BIOS shadow RAM, and an 8KB processor cache. It includes a built-in VGA port, serial and parallel ports, and PS/2 compatible keyboard/mouse ports. Four ISA option slots support additional functions. The system allows up to three internal mass storage devices.

Using Your Computer

This section covers turning the computer on and off, using disk drives, special keyboard keys, stopping commands, resetting, using passwords, changing processor speed, preparing hard disks, and using batch files. Safety precautions include not connecting/disconnecting cables while power is on, not turning off during drive activity, and waiting 20 seconds before re-powering. To turn on, power on peripherals, then the computer. The system performs diagnostics. If no hard disk is present, insert the operating system diskette. Press DEL to start SETUP if needed. The system then loads the operating system or prompts for a password. To turn off, save data, exit programs, ensure drive lights are off, remove diskettes, then press the power button.
