Starting Epson Scan

To start scanning, follow these steps:

  • Using the Scanner Buttons: Press the Start button to launch Epson Scan.
  • Using the EPSON Scan Icon: Double-click the Epson Scan icon on your desktop or navigate through your Start menu (Windows) or Applications folder (Mac OS X) to launch the software.

Placing Originals on the Scanner

Documents or Photos:

  1. Open the scanner cover. Ensure the document mat is installed.
  2. Place your document or photo face down on the document table, aligning the upper right corner with the scanner's corner. Maintain at least 20 mm (0.8 inch) spacing for multiple photos.
  3. Gently close the scanner cover.

Large or Thick Documents:

  1. Place the document on the document table.
  2. Close the cover and hold it down firmly during scanning.

Film or Slides:

  1. Remove the document mat from the scanner cover to expose the transparency unit window.
