Loading Film: Unscrew the tripod screw, remove the camera from the case. Raise lock shackles and turn them halfway. Shift the camera back to remove it from the slot. Take out the take-up reel and magazine. Load the magazine in darkness. Pull out about 10 cm of film and fasten it to the reel. Fit the take-up reel onto the bush and place the magazine in the camera, ensuring the film is taut and sprocket teeth engage perforations.

Operation: Close the camera. Feed the film to the picture aperture by cocking the shutter twice and pressing the release button after each cocking. Turn the cocking lever fully. Set the picture counter to "0". Align the film-type indicator with the index according to the loaded film.

Taking a Picture: Aim the camera. Focus using the range-finder by aligning double images in the viewfinder. Set the diaphragm for depth of field. Cock the shutter. Push the release button. For automatic release, set the lever and press the button; the shutter will release after 9-15 seconds.

Flash Photography: Use flashlamps only at 1/30s. Place the reflector in the camera shoe and plug the wire into the synchronizer socket. Select the diaphragm based on film sensitivity, subject distance, and lamp power.
