Loading the Dishwasher: Scrape large food particles; pre-rinse if not running immediately. Load items securely, avoiding overloading. Top rack for glasses, plastics, and long-handled items. Bottom rack for plates, bowls, and cookware. Silverware basket with handles up, mix items to avoid nesting. Ensure items do not block spray arms. Adding Detergent: Use fresh, automatic dishwasher detergent. Amount depends on water hardness. Refer to the detergent usage chart. Add just before starting the cycle. Store in a cool, dry place. Selecting a Cycle and Options: Choose cycle based on soil level. Options like High Temp and Heat Dry improve cleaning and drying. Use Delay Start if needed. Press START/CANCEL to begin. Close door firmly.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Possible Cause Solution
Food Soils Left on Dishes Incorrect cycle, improper loading, overloaded, clogged glass trap, low water pressure, low incoming water temp, hard water, old detergent, blocked spray arms. Choose longer cycle, check loading, don't overload, clean glass trap, check water pressure (20-120 psi), check water temp (120°F), use water softener if needed, use fresh detergent, ensure spray arms rotate.
Dishes not Dry Heat Dry/High Temp not selected, empty rinse aid, incorrect rinse aid setting, low incoming water temp, improper loading, plastic items, concave cups. Select Heat Dry or High Temp, fill rinse aid dispenser, adjust rinse aid setting, check water temp (120°F), load properly, towel dry plastics, position concave cups for drainage.
Glassware/Flatware Spotted or Cloudy Hard water, low water temp, overloading, improper loading, old detergent, empty rinse aid, incorrect detergent amount, low water pressure. Check water hardness, avoid extreme temps, don't overload/load improperly, use fresh detergent, fill rinse aid, use correct detergent amount, check water pressure (20-120 psi).
Dishware Chipped Careless loading, overloading, items not secure, tall items not clearing tub, fine china/crystal. Load with care, place delicates on top rack, secure items, ensure clearance, hand-wash fine china/crystal.
Dishware Stained or Discolored Tea/coffee stains, iron deposits, aluminum utensil marks, high acid foods, mixing stainless/silver. Hand wash stains with bleach solution, use water filter for iron, load properly, rinse high acid foods, avoid mixing stainless/silver.
Etching Too much detergent, especially in soft water. Adjust detergent based on water hardness, lower water temp with Normal Cycle.
Dishwasher Won't Fill Water supply off, overfill protector stuck, old detergent, cycle not completed, items blocking dispenser. Turn on water supply, check overfill protector, use fresh detergent, ensure cycle completion, ensure dispenser opens.
Vapor at Vent Normal during drying cycle. This is normal.
Spilled Rinse Aid Causes foam/overflowing. Wipe up spills with damp cloth.
Dishwasher Leaks Door gasket not seated, gasket extends beyond rib, spilled rinse aid. Reseat gasket, check for interference with door closure, wipe up rinse aid spills.
Dishwasher Has an Odor Soiled dishes left too long, new appliance smell. Clean immediately, new smell is normal. Check drainage.
Stains on Tub Interior Tomato-based soil. Normal, will fade. Pre-rinsing helps, no heat dry reduces staining.
Opening the door during cycle Interruption of cycle. Press START/CANCEL, close door within 10 minutes to resume.
Water in Bottom of Tub Dishwasher not draining properly. Check for drainage issues.
