Operating Your Freezer: Plug the freezer into a 115-volt, 15-amp outlet. Set the temperature control knob, initially to "4", and wait 24 hours before adjusting to your desired setting. Allow 5 minutes before plugging back in after an outage or unplugging.

General Features: The adjustable temperature dial has 7 settings (1=warmest, 7=coldest) and maintains selected temperature. For faster freezing, turn to "ON" for 2 hours, then to "4".

Normal Operating Sounds: Expect gurgling, boiling, or slight vibrations from the refrigerant, and clicking from the thermostat. Setting to "7" may cause continuous compressor operation (quick-freeze mode).

Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Possible Cause & Solution
Freezer Does Not Operate:
  • Check if freezer is plugged in.
  • Check power at the AC outlet by verifying the circuit breaker.
  • Wait 30-40 minutes for the compressor cycle to complete.
Food temperature appears too warm:
  • Frequent door openings.
  • Allow time for recently added warm food to reach freezer temperature.
  • Check gaskets for proper seal.
  • Adjust temperature control to a colder setting.
Too much frost build-up inside unit:
  • Ensure temperature control is not set to "ON" for extended periods.
Food temperature is too cold:
  • Adjust temperature control to a warmer setting and allow several hours for adjustment.
Compressor runs too frequently:
  • May be normal in high temperatures and humidity.
  • Doors opened frequently or for extended periods.
  • Check gasket for proper seal.
  • Check if doors are completely closed.
  • Ensure no items are blocking door closure.
Freezer has an odor:
  • Interior needs cleaning.
  • Food improperly wrapped or sealed.
