Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Cause / Solution
Oven Problems
Poor baking results. Use proper oven rack position, center food, ensure pan spacing for air circulation. Preheat the oven. Adjust recipe temperature or time. See "Oven Temperature Calibration" (page 19).
Flames inside oven or smoking from oven vent. Excessive spills in oven. Wipe up spills before use. For broiling flames, see "Setting Broil" (page 34).
Oven smokes excessively when broiling. Incorrect setting. Meat too close to broil element. Remove excess fat. Clean grease buildup.
Convection fan does not rotate. Oven door is open. Close the oven door.
Self-Clean Problems
Self clean does not work. Oven control not set properly. See "Self Clean" (page 40).
Oven racks discolored or do not slide easily. Racks left in oven during self-clean. Remove racks before cycle. Clean with mild abrasive cleaner.
Soil not completely removed after self clean. Self clean interrupted. Clean oven frame, door liner, and front center of oven bottom before cycle.
Other Problems
Appliance is not level. Poor installation. Adjust leveling legs. Check cabinet alignment.
Cannot move appliance easily. Appliance must be accessible for service. Cabinets not square or built too tightly. Contact builder/installer.
Oven light does not work. Ensure oven light is secure in its socket. See "Replacing the Oven Light" (page 47).
