Thank you for purchasing a new Frigidaire appliance. This manual provides operating instructions and feature information.
Read all instructions before use. Pay close attention to warnings and cautions to prevent injury, fire, or property damage. Key safety points include:
Identifies simmer, standard, and power burners.
Use flat-bottomed cookware. Material types (aluminum, copper, stainless steel, cast iron, etc.) affect heat transfer.
Season griddle before first use and clean after each use. Place on grate before turning on the burner.
Use flat-bottomed woks or round-bottomed woks with a support ring. Do not use woks with metal rings that extend beyond the burner unit.
Proper placement and alignment of burner caps are crucial for ignition.
Use recommended flame sizes for different cooking tasks. Push and turn knob to LITE, then to desired setting. Do not cook with knob in LITE position. Manual lighting is possible during power outages.
Clean surfaces, control panel, knobs, stainless steel, and porcelain enamel using appropriate methods. Turn controls OFF and allow to cool before cleaning. Clean burner grates and caps after they have cooled. Keep burner heads and ignition ports clean for proper function.
Troubleshooting tips for common occurrences like burners not lighting or irregular flames.
| OCCURRENCE | POSSIBLE CAUSE/SOLUTION |
|---|---|
| Surface burners do not light. | Surface Control knob not turned to LITE. Push and turn to LITE until burner ignites, then adjust flame size. Gas supply valve may be closed. Burner ports or slots may be clogged (clean with small wire or needle). Power cord disconnected (electric ignition models). Electrical power outage (electric ignition models) - burners can be lit manually. |
| Surface burner flame burns half way around. | Burner ports or slots are clogged (clean with small wire or needle). Moisture may be present after cleaning (fan flame and allow burner to operate until full, dry thoroughly). |
| Surface burner flame is orange. | Dust particles in main line (allow burner to operate until flame turns blue). In coastal areas, a slightly orange flame due to salt air is unavoidable. |
