Step 1: Connect Your Router

  • A. Connect to Internet: Choose DSL (Green phone cord to DSL port) or Ethernet (White Ethernet cable to ONT port).
  • B. Connect Power: Plug in the power adapter to the 'Power' port and outlet, then press the power button.
  • C. Check Internet Connectivity: Internet light should turn solid blue.
  • D. Connect Phone (NVG448BQ/NVG448B): Connect phone to 'Phone Line' port.
  • E. Sync Video (NVG448BQ): For Frontier TV, press WPS button for 5 seconds if 'Wireless Pairing Required' appears.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Solution
INTERNET LIGHT DOES NOT BECOME SOLID.
  • DSL SOLUTION: Connect GREEN line cord to wall and GREEN 'DSL' port.
  • Ethernet SOLUTION: Use white Ethernet cable to RED 'ONT' port.
UNABLE TO CONNECT TO WI-FI NETWORK.
  • SOLUTION: Select correct Wi-Fi network from sticker.
  • SOLUTION: Enter correct Wi-Fi password (case-sensitive).
I DON'T HAVE DIAL TONE. SOLUTION: Check phone line cord to 'Phone Line' port. Call Frontier helpdesk if issue persists.
