Troubleshooting and error codes

  • Check if shutter is released. If not, repair shutter.
  • If shutter is released, check So switch assembly (5-128).
  • If So switch is okay, check battery voltage, power supply circuit, S4 and SM switches, motor function, relay A, and MC board terminals.
Film is not successively advanced from S to 1
  • Check S4 switch for contact.
  • Check S8 switch for turn on.
Film is rewound before it is advanced one frame
  • Check transistor Q1.
  • Ensure lead wire (7-21) is correctly soldered.
Film does not stop after being advanced one frame but is advanced successively
  • Check So switch to see if it turns off correctly.
  • Check lead wires for correct connections.
Automatic rewind does not start
  • Check capacitor C1.
  • Check relay (B).
  • Check So switch.
  • Check FR-9 terminal.
Film stops before it is rewound completely
  • Check capacitor C2 for discharging.
  • Check Ss switch for alternating on/off.
  • Check So switch for turning on.
  • Check FR-9 terminal.
Motor does not stop after the film is rewound completely
  • Check capacitor C2 for function.
  • Check FR-9 terminal.
Film is not advanced but rewound only
  • Check SR switch for turning off.
  • Check related lead wires for short-circuit.
