Getting Ready to Take Pictures: Mount the camera on a tripod or camera stand. Insert batteries (CR 123A/DL 123A). Mount and dismount the lens using the lens lock release and lens lock. Mount and dismount the film holder by aligning it with the camera back and turning it. Use the revolving lock to change orientation. Handle the dark slide by inserting it into the dark slide pocket.
Basic Procedures: Set the mode switch (OFF, SINGLE, CONTINUE, MULTI). Use the shutter release to take pictures. Use the remote-control shutter release by plugging it into the socket. Set the shutter speed using the selector. Set the aperture using the aperture selector. Take flash pictures using the hotshoe or sync socket.
Using the Finder Hood: Expand the hood, use the magnifier, and fold it down. Mount and dismount the hood by pressing the lock release buttons.
Framing your Picture: Use the viewfinder frames.
Focusing the Lens: Turn the focusing knobs and use the focus lock lever.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Blinking • Dark Slide insertion
• Year/month/day/hour/minute are being corrected; ISO is being set, Serial number is being corrected.
• Bar code reading error
• A film which has no bar code is used under ISO/AUTO mode.
Contact of Lens mounted portion
The AE finder II is not used, but the Shutter Speed Selector has been set to A.
