Safety Check-Out
- Check repair area for unsoldered or poorly soldered connections, solder splasher, and bridges.
- Verify interboard wiring for pinched wires or contact with high-wattage resistors.
- Look for unauthorized replacement parts, especially transistors, and recommend replacement if found.
- Identify parts showing signs of deterioration, even if functioning, and recommend replacement.
- Confirm B+ voltage is at specified values.
- Perform leakage current measurements to ensure exposed parts are acceptably insulated.
Fuse Replacement
If a fuse blows, replace it ONLY with the same type and rating (e.g., 2.5A 125V) to prevent fire hazards and ensure continued protection.
