Getting Started with Your FUJIFILM Camera
Attaching the Strap and Lens Cap
Securely attach the strap to the camera's eyelets for safe handling. Pass the lens cap's string through the eyelet and attach it to the strap to prevent loss.
Inserting Batteries
The camera uses four AA batteries (alkaline, lithium, or Ni-MH). Ensure correct orientation. Never mix battery types or use damaged batteries. For optimal performance, Ni-MH batteries are recommended, especially in cold temperatures. If using different battery types, update the camera's settings accordingly.
Powering On/Off
Use the ON/OFF switch to turn the camera on and off.
Mode Dial
Select shooting modes like AUTO, Adv. ADVANCED, SP (Scene Position), P, S, A, M (for full control), C (Custom), and PANORAMA (Motion Panorama) by aligning the icon with the mark.

Troubleshooting and error codes

| READ ERROR | The file is corrupt or was not created with the camera. | The file can not be played back. |
| READ ERROR | The memory card contacts require cleaning. | Clean the contacts with a soft, dry cloth. If the message is repeated, format the memory card (101). If the message persists, replace the memory card. |

| FRAME NO. FULL | The camera has run out of frame numbers (current frame number is 999-9999). | Format the memory card and select RENEW for the FRAME NO. option in the SET-UP menu. Take a picture to reset frame numbering to 100-0001, then return to the FRAME NO. menu and select CONTINUOUS. |
| TOO MANY FRAMES | An attempt was made to search more than 5,000 images. | The maximum number of images on which searches can be performed is 5,000. |
