- Charging the Battery: Place the NP-45A rechargeable battery into the BC-45B battery charger, plug it into a power outlet, and wait for the charging indicator to turn green.
- Inserting the Battery: Open the battery-chamber cover, slide the lock lever, insert the charged battery with gold terminals facing down and aligning the orange stripe with the latch, and close the cover.
- Inserting a Memory Card: Open the battery-chamber cover, slide the lock lever, insert the memory card (SD/SDHC) with contacts facing down until it clicks, and close the cover. Ensure the write-protect switch on the card is unlocked.
