Getting Ready
1. Charge the Battery: Load the rechargeable battery NP-45 into the charger BC-45, connect to power, and wait for the charging indicator to turn off (approx. 180 minutes). 2. Load the Battery: Open the battery cover, align indicators, push the battery release catch down while loading, and ensure it's firmly in place. Close the cover. 3. Load the Memory Card: Open the battery cover, then insert an xD-Picture Card or SD Memory Card, aligning the gold marking with the contact area until it clicks. Close the cover. 4. Turn On/Off: Open the lens cover completely to turn on in shooting mode. Close the lens cover to turn off. For playback mode, keep the lens cover closed, press the Playback button for 1 second to turn on, and press it again to turn off. 5. Set Language, Date, and Time: Upon first use, set the language, then the date and time using the menu options.
