- Charging the Battery: Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use. Insert the NP-50 rechargeable battery into the charger, connect to power, and wait for the charging indicator to confirm completion.
- Inserting the Battery: With the camera off, open the battery-chamber cover. Insert the battery with terminals first, aligning with the orange stripe and latch. Slide and confirm it is latched.
- Inserting a Memory Card: The camera has internal memory, but SD/SDHC cards (sold separately) can be used for additional storage. Ensure the write-protect switch on the card is unlocked before inserting.
- Using the Mode Dial: Select shooting modes like EXR, AUTO, P, A, S, M, Adv., and SP by aligning the mode icon with the mark on the dial.
