1. Insert Battery: Open the battery-chamber cover, align the battery with the terminals, and slide it in until it latches. Ensure the camera is off before opening the cover.
2. Insert Memory Card: If using a memory card, ensure the write-protect switch is unlocked. Open the battery-chamber cover and slide the memory card in until it clicks. Be sure it's oriented correctly.
3. Charge Battery: Connect the supplied AC power adapter to the camera and plug it into a power outlet. The indicator lamp will turn red while charging and off when complete.
4. Turn On Camera: Press the on/off switch.
Taking Pictures: Use the shutter button to take photos. The zoom control adjusts the focal length. Various shooting modes are available via the MODE button.
Playback: Press the playback button to review images. Use the selector buttons to navigate and the MENU/OK button for options.
