Getting Started:
- Unpack and check the delivery.
- Select a location and set up the device.
- Connect external devices (mouse, keyboard, monitor).
- Connect to a grounded mains outlet.
- Switch the device on.
Basic Operation:
- Switch the device on and off using the ON/OFF switch.
- Connect various external devices to the available ports (USB, PS/2, display, audio, serial, parallel).
- Refer to the BIOS Setup for system configuration and security functions.
Troubleshooting and error codes
| Problem | Solution |
| Power-on indicator remains unlit after you have switched on your device | Check mains connection. |
| The device cannot be switched off with the ON/OFF switch. | Perform a force shutdown by pressing the ON/OFF switch for more than 4 seconds. |
| Monitor remains blank | Check monitor cable connections. Check monitor power. Switch the device and monitor on and off again. |
| No mouse pointer displayed on the screen | Check mouse connection. If using a PS/2 mouse, ensure the device was switched off before connecting. |
| Time and/or date is not correct | Replace the lithium battery. |
| SmartCard reader is not recognised. | Ensure SmartCard reader is correctly installed and drivers are installed. |
| SmartCard PIN forgotten | Contact your system administrator or refer to SmartCard documentation. |
| Error messages on the screen | Refer to the specific error message for guidance or consult the operating system documentation. |
| Installing new software | Follow the software's installation instructions. Ensure compatibility with your operating system. |
| Restoring the hard disk contents | Use the recovery media or built-in recovery functions provided by your operating system or Fujitsu. |
