Chapter 1 Components

This chapter describes the components of the ETERNUS DX Disk storage system.

1.1 Controller Enclosure

An operation panel and disks are installed in the front of the controller enclosure. Controllers and power supply units are installed in the rear.

1.1.1 Front

Details on 2.5" and 3.5" type controller enclosures, including illustrations and labels for operation panels and disk slots.

1.1.2 Rear

Illustrations of rear views for single and dual controller types, showing controllers and power supply units.

1.1.3 Components (Front)

06 F2 80 Rebuilding to a hot spare is performed. These sense codes are notified when "RAID Recovery Event" is enabled for Warning Level in the event notification setting. They are not notified during maintenance operations.
06 F2 81 Rebuilding to a Disk Drive is performed.
06 F2 82 Rebuilding to a hot spare is complete.
06 F2 83 Rebuilding to a Disk Drive is complete.
06 F2 84 Copyback starts.
06 F2 85 Copyback is complete.
06 F2 88 Rebuilding to a hot spare or a replaced disk is complete, but Bad Data (data lost identifier) exists.
06 F2 8A Rebuilding to a disk is halted.
06 F2 8B Rebuilding to a replaced disk is halted.
06 F2 8C Copyback is halted.
06 F2 8D Copyback is halted because an error is found in the copy source disk.
06 FB 01 CM error is detected. These sense codes are notified when "Module reported a Warning" is enabled for Warning Severity Level in Setup Event Notification. They are not notified during maintenance operations.
