ETERNUS DX is Turned Off
  • Check if power cord is disconnected.
  • Check PSU switch is OFF (O).
  • Check if server is turned off.
  • Check if main line switch of power distribution unit is OFF (O).
  • Check for power failure.
  • Check for recent main power failure.
ETERNUS DX Refuses to Turn On
  • Check if power cord is disconnected.
  • Check PSU switch is OFF (O).
  • Check if main line switch of power distribution unit is OFF (O).
  • Check for power failure.
  • Check if mini SAS HD cable between enclosures is disconnected.
READY LED is not OnIf READY LED is not on after more than ten minutes, contact maintenance engineer.
FAULT LED is On
  • Check general status and system messages in ETERNUS Web GUI.
  • Check if mini SAS HD cable between enclosures is disconnected or incorrectly connected.
FAULT LED Blinks
  • Check general status and system messages in ETERNUS Web GUI for components requiring preventive maintenance.
DISK FAULT LED is OnCheck drive status. The LED may be temporarily on during Protection (Shield) function.
ETERNUS DX cannot be Connected via a Network Service
  • Check if ETERNUS DX is turned off.
  • Check LAN cable connection and MASTER LED status.
  • Switch Master CM if necessary.
  • Check network devices and their settings.
  • Check ETERNUS DX LAN port settings (firewall).
  • Restore default network and firewall settings if necessary.
I/O Access is Slow
  • Check ambient temperature.
