Getting Started
  • Install a Memory Card: Insert a microSD or microSDHC card into the slot until it clicks.
  • Connect to Vehicle Power: Plug the power cable into the device and a vehicle power outlet. Mount the device on the windshield using the suction cup.
  • Turn On/Off: The device turns on automatically when connected to ignition-switched power or when the vehicle is turned on. Manually turn on/off by selecting the power icon.
  • Video Recording: The device records continuously when powered on, overwriting older files. The LED is solid red while recording.
  • Protect a Video Recording: Select the protect icon to save the current, previous, and next video files. The device automatically protects files during detected collisions.
  • Take a Picture: Select the snapshot icon while recording to take a still photo.
  • View Videos and Photos: Select the view icon, then choose Video or Snapshot to view files.
  • Connect to Computer: Use the USB cable to connect the device to your computer to view, transfer, or delete files. Videos are in the GARMIN\Video folder, photos in GARMIN\SnapShot.
  • Delete Videos or Photos: Navigate to File Delete, select Video or Snapshot, choose files, and select Delete.

Changing the Fuse: Unscrew the tip of the vehicle power cable, replace the 2 A fuse, and reassemble.
