Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Solution
My camera does not turn on
  • If connected to external power, ensure the top status LED is red or off, then hold POWER to turn on.
  • Verify battery installation.
  • Fully charge the battery.
My camera feels warm while it is operating Normal during typical use, especially when recording high-resolution video or transmitting Wi-Fi.
There is fog, mist, or water inside the camera case
  • Fogging is normal in humid environments. Install an anti-fog desiccant pack.
  • If significant water is present, stop use and check the gasket for damage.
Some G-Metrix data is missing
  • Enable GPS, install the altimeter door, and go to an area with a clear sky.
  • Connect compatible ANT+ sensors.
  • Ensure data requires sensor connection.
My video recordings do not look smooth
  • Enable image stabilization (Video > Stabilizer).
  • Use a recommended high-speed memory card.
  • Verify playback device/software compatibility (e.g., 4K resolution).
  • Transfer video to a computer for playback.
  • Use VIRB Edit for playback and editing.
My device turns off when I stop recording video If powered on by the recording switch, it will turn off when the switch is moved back. This conserves battery.
